The Department of Pediatrics & Preventive Dentistry shines at the 19th ISPPD PG Convention (Chennai, India). They receive the 2nd prize for conducting the best activities during the 2022 Children's Week Celebrations (navigate to our "CDE Programs" & "Events" section to know more). Additionally, Dr Balraj Shukla receives the 3rd Prize in the competitive section of faculties' presentations for his research linking autism, music therapy and pediatric dentistry.

Dr Anup Kumar Panda receives copyright for his work, “A Novel Hypnotic Formula for Children” that focuses on communication mannerisms with children that can make them psychologically responsive, obedient and attentive.

Dr Balraj Shukla receives copyright for his work, “A Novel Classification System for Smart Mechanical Plaque Control” that lays out a new categorization of mechanical plaque control which can bridge the communicative gap between manufacturers, healthcare professionals and consumers while opting for the plaque control trends of tomorrow.

Dr Balraj Shukla bagged the first prize in the faculty paper presentation for his research on "Biological Restorations in Pediatric Dentistry: A systematic review of case reports with qualitative meta-analysis".

In the post-graduates' paper presentation category, Dr Unnati Bhudhrani got the first prize for her research on "Making the predator extinct: A way to successfully disseminate your research."

Dr Mira Virda was one of the speakers at the 9th International Conference on Dentistry and Oral Health. She spoke on the pre-emptive and post-operative effectiveness of ibuprofen therapy in children with molar incisor hypomineralization.

Dr Anup Panda secured copyright on his proposed design of a modified mouth prop. It is devised with the aim of ensuring mouth opening in children during prolonged surgeries.

Dr Balraj Shukla was a guest speaker at the 6th Annual World Conference on Art and Music Therapy where he delivered a presentation on the topic of Music Therapy in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr Anup Panda shines as a keynote speaker at the International Congress of Pediatric Dentistry held in Moscow (Russia) as he delivers a flamboyant speech on Encoding Neurolinguistic Programming in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr Mira Virda (Reader), Dr Jina Jani (Reader), Dr Deepika Chari (Senior Lecturer), Dr Balraj Shukla (Senior Lecturer) and Dr Jay Mehta (Post-Graduate Alumni) successfully enroll into the Ph.D. program after cracking the entrance examinations and interview.

Dr Anup Panda lights up PedoPragyan (State-level CDE program) with his keynote speech on "Abracadabra - Hypnosis in Children" at the K.M. Shah Dental College and Hospital (Sumandeep Vidyapeeth).
